Remove objects or people from photos with Iphone or Android

How many times have you wanted to remove objects or people from your photos?

UPDATE: Photoshop Fix is no longer available for iOS devices, however I have found a valid alternative as I explain to you in my new article that you can find here!

If it happened to you several times, but you never had the slightest idea on how to do it, this simple tutorial is perfect for you!

It is a simple, fast method that does not require any real knowledge of complicated programs or editing tools.

All you need is Photoshop Fix!

It’s an app that you can download for free for both Iphone and Android.

I use it often to quickly edit my photos to post on Instagram, always getting excellent results!

In fact, although it is not a professional method, it guarantees excellent performance and nobody will ever notice your small but important modification!

Obviously to obtain sufficient results it is necessary to know which tools to use and to do some practice.

Before starting, I insert here my photos to show you what you can get with this app!

Without wasting any more time, I’ll show you how to do it!

1) Choose the photo you want to edit

First step is definitely to select the photo to be edited. The more it will be rich in details and with elaborate backgrounds, the more complicated it will be to eliminate the object. Final result also depends on its size and position. However, nothing is impossible and I will show you what you can accomplish with two photos that I have selected from the web; a simpler one and a more difficult one!

2) Open Photoshop Fix and import the photo

Open the application and you will see this.

Click on the + at the top right, click “On the iPhone” (for Ios operating system) and select the image you want to modify from the camera roll. If you want, you can also take the photo at the moment by clicking on the camera icon in the top right corner.

3) Delete the unwanted object or person

You will notice many features but the tool you need is: Healing.

In a nutshell what you need to do is select, with the “Spot Heal” feature, the part you want to delete from the photo.
Also there aresome tricks to ensure that you will get a good result.

As you can see on the left there is drop down menu in which you can change, by dragging upwards, the size of the brush and its hardness.
While the last setting if selected allows you to see where you applied the brush inside the photo, to make any corrections.
Then there are the “Patch” and “Clone Stamp” tools, which are very similar to each other.
The first allows you to replace, through a special selection, an area of the photo with another portion of the photo itself.
The second allows you to copy a portion of the photo to replicate it in another area. They can be useful tools to improve the appearance of the final photo. Finally, if you make some mistakes just select the “Restore” tool.

Unfortunately it is not easy to explain the procedure in words, soI leave you below the video that I made to make you understand better.

But here are some examples of photos that lend themselves well to these changes, and others in which it is more difficult to obtain satisfactory results.

This is the image I used in the video tutorial. As you can see, when it comes to eliminating small elements in the background, you can get incredible results!

As you can see, in this case removing objects or people from photos is more difficult, and the result you get is poor. This is because the subjects are in the foreground and on an uneven and detailed background.

In this case, however, although the subjects are large, they are easily removable, since the background is rather uniform and very reproducible.

I hope this tutorial to remove objects or people from photos has been useful!
See you with th next article!
